Accessibility statement

Compliance status

We build the site and the app to WCAG 2.2 level AA. We are currently partially compliant — we know about the shortcomings listed below and are working on them.

What already works

• Text contrast against the background of at least 4.5 : 1.
• Controls in the app have a touch target of at least 44 × 44 points.
• Support for system font scaling and for VoiceOver / TalkBack.
• The whole site can be operated with a keyboard, including voting on ideas.
• The site respects the system setting for reduced motion.

Known shortcomings

• Charts in the statistics do not yet have a full text description; the values are available in a table below each chart.
• Screenshots on the site have brief descriptions rather than a full transcript of the screen.
• The countdown to launch is not announced to screen readers; the launch date is given in the heading beside it.
